Spicy Avocado Salsa
A creamy spicy salsa that’s great for dipping or topping tacos. Special thanks to Frank Navarro for teaching me how to make this delicious dip.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 lime
- 1 handful of cilantro
- 1 jalepeño
- 1 slice of white onion
- 1 Tbsp avocado oil (optional)
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- A splash of water to make it blendable
Steps
Chop up avocados. Remove leaves from cilantro and discard stems. Slice jalapeño in half long ways, remove seeds. Cut a 1/2 thick slice from a white onion. Add avocado, cilantro leaves, jalapeño, and onion to blender. Cut a lime in half, squeeze into blender. Add cumin, garlic salt, avocado oil, and water.
Blend until the result is the consistence of yogurt (not greek yogurt). Add water to mix as needed. The final dip should be thick enough to coat chips but not break them during the dipping process. Enjoy!
